Through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Government has delivered electricity to Diwa Primary School and the surrounding community in Lumezi District, Eastern Province.

Working with Lumezi Town Council, the Rural Electrification Authority (REA) supported the implementation of the Diwa Grid Intensification Project, which involved the construction of about 200 metres of 33kV overhead line tapped from the existing network and approximately 1.2 kilometres of 400V overhead line for local distribution.

Implemented at a cost of about K1.2 million, the project will facilitate 25 electricity connections to households and community facilities, improving access to reliable electricity and supporting local development.
