Integrity Committee

REA Management established the Integrity Committee in 2019. This was achieved with technical assistance from the Anti-Corruption Commission of Zambia (ACC). The Committee is composed of 5 members which includes the Chairperson and Secretary that are elected from among the members.

The purpose of the committee is to promote the culture of zero tolerance to corruption in the institution.
Role of the Integrity Committee
Some of the key roles of the Committee include the following:

Promote transparency and minimize opportunities for corruption by spearheading and facilitating the process of corruption prevention at REA.

To implement an institutionally tailored Corruption Prevention Action Plan and budget in consultation with REA Management.
Participate in the training of members of staff in ethics, integrity and anti-corruption strategies and enlist support and understanding of these issues from members of staff.

Provide an efficient and transparent monitoring and reporting mechanism to expose unethical conduct and corruption.
Receive, consider and provide redress on all complaints emanating from within and outside the organization relating to ethical issues and hindrances to efficient and effective service delivery.

Refer all complaints that are beyond our competence to appropriate agencies/authorities for appropriate remedy/action.
